Memorandai Go is rated for adults — which might look surprising for an app of notes, ideas, and quiet games. Here's the honest reason.

The app's own content is gentle

The tools — notes, ideas, to-dos, flash cards, and the Oracle — and the games — Memory Match, Echo Match, Constellations, and Sun Run — contain nothing objectionable. On their own, they'd suit any age.

But Memorandai Go includes an open-ended AI

Its companion, Helios, is a generative AI you talk with using your own AI provider key. Generative AI is open-ended by nature: it responds to whatever you bring to it. The AI providers apply their own safety measures, but Memorandai adds no content filtering of its own on top — we're a conduit to the model you chose, not a moderator of it.

Because we can't promise that an open-ended AI's responses are always appropriate for children, we've chosen — out of an abundance of caution — to rate Memorandai Go for adults rather than present it as an all-ages experience. We'd rather be conservative and honest than overclaim a suitability we can't guarantee.

It also keeps the mobile app consistent with Memorandai on the desktop, which is made for adults.
